Book Review-

Last week, you may remember that I did a little substantial amount of online shopping while up in the middle of the night coughing and NOT sleeping. Even if it wasn't good news for my paypal account, it was very good news for my quilting library. I have excellent taste while I am drugged medicated.

This book is one that I have had on my wish list for quite a while now. I may or may not have a dozen books on my wish list at any given time, and I typically use good judgement when shopping online. So it's really not surprising that this is one of the books that got ordered. My only regret is that I waited so long to purchase it!

If you like pretty quilt books filled with photos, you'll love this book. If you like books that have TONS on written information on design and technique, you'll love this book. If you like books that have one design concept illustrated with multiple quilts from multiple quilters, you'll love this book.
If you are itching to try some new techniques and stretch your skill, you'll love this book!

It's not a book filled with quick and easy quilt patterns to whip up in an hour. It's not a book with step by step instructions on sizes and shapes to cut, followed by piecing steps one, two, three. So if you want a book that does that, go find something else.

This book is filled with formulas for new ways of thinking and approaching design. It has concepts on how to achieve your vision, and methods to try in your own way. The author has a wonderful approach to quilting and shares so much more than just...here's a quilt, now go make a copy.

If you are searching for inspiration and tons of information, you'll love this book!

Enjoy every stitch,
Diane
