Monday, Monday

My constant companions.

So do you want me to keep it real? Do you want the whole story? Or do you just want pretty pictures of fabric and quilt stuff? How about a little of everything? Okay, deal.

The dogwood's been in full bloom.

Recap: Last Sunday I felt so good that I took the dogs on two long walks instead of one. Monday I woke up with what felt like the beginning of a sinus infection. Tuesday I had to teach, so I medicated and pressed on. Wednesday I went to the doctor and found out I had sinusitus and bronchitus and had a chest xray to rule out pneumonia. I was sick. Really, sick. I stayed in bed (or on the sofa) until yesterday. Antibiotics and steriods are working, but s.l.o.w.l.y. I am no way near being myself, but I am much improved.

Yet another 1718 block.

Maybe you didn't notice my abcense because I had scheduled some updates ahead of time. After all, I had such a full calendar, I wasn't going to have time to blog! Needless to say LOTS of plans got cancelled.

So what does a person do when she can't sleep because of the coughing? I spent three nights propped up on the sofa with my ipad. The good news is, that my family slept and didn't catch any of my nasty germs. The bad news is, I was shopping online under the influence of some serious medications. Yep.

Surprisingly, I have great taste when I'm looped out on medication. I bought some super cute fabrics from an instagram destash. (I have zero memory of purchasing these...) They are awesome though!

Turns out, I ordered two books and some more fabric as well. According to my paypal account, I was busy. I do remember ordering the books. I have enjoyed looking at them already because I got two day shipping. I'll share them later.

I also snapped up a new sewing machine on Facebook. I know, A SEWING MACHINE. I love it and have already given it a test drive...I will share a full review of it later as well.

I think it is a good thing that I only get sick once a year. I couldn't afford to get sick any more often than that! LOL

  1. Well, you know, it's not about what we want, it's what you want that's important! I'm glad that you are on the mend. Looks like you got some great fabrics, and the tulips are pretty too! Be well. :D

  2. Oh my.....I think your wallet is sick now !! LOL !
Well great purchases thanks to the sinusitus and bronchitus !! :)

  3. Hope you are well on your way to good health again - I'm sure the fabric therapy was a big help! :-)

  4. So glad that you are feeling better! But, looking forward to seeing what "other surprises" might wind up in your mailbox! lol! Methinks the internet was the best thing to happen to the economy... lol! ;-)

  5. It sounds like you made the most of your illness with your couch time shopping. Can't wait to see your books!

I love to hear what you have to say, sadly, the spam has gotten ridiculous, so I will be approving comments from now on. I apologize for any inconvenience and I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
