Surprise, surprise!

More 1718 blocks!
The good news is that my applique skills are improving with every block.
The bad news is that my photography skills do not.
Let me assure you that these blocks are square and sewn into straight rows.
I can't seem to take a good photograph while under the influence of allergy meds.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. *wink*

I also made a few more sets of these little blocks.
They will go in the corners of the star blocks that have hearts.
I haven't summoned the courage yet to attempt those.

I am having fun playing with color combinations.
I like combining fabrics that I normally wouldn't.
The result is always a surprise.

Excuse me please, my meds seems to be wearing off.
I am not complaining though!
I will take sunny and sneazy over cold and dreary any day.

Enjoy every stitch!
Diane

  1. Very sweet blocks! I hope your allergies are in control soon. Any thoughts on getting a seasonal shot at the Drs office?

  2. Wow! You are really moving ahead. All of your blocks are beautiful, with just enough sense of whimsy. I love the little striped socks and hat.

  8. I have been looking back at your 1718 blocks and find them oh so interesting. The man and woman are my favorites. I like your fabric choices better than what I see on the book cover. So interesting.
