Monday, Monday

This weekend was a busy one for our family. Kelly celebrated turning 18 with a party for her friends. They went swimming, soaked in the hot tub, had pizza and cake, roasted marshmallows over the fire pit to make s'mores and stayed up all night watching a movie marathon. I only lasted until about 1:30am but they assure me that it was fun!

Then the boys got a new car because sharing a car with their sister and mom was not working out very well. With all three kids in an out-of-district school, it means we have no bus service. Kelly gets out of school earlier than the boys and goes to the barn every day, the boys have cross country practice every day (sometimes at locations away from the school) and I was left without a car quite a bit. So they are now very happy to be driving a brand new car, and I'm feeling very old.

I did work on two charity quilts this weekend. I pieced these tumblers that had been cut by someone else. I added borders and quilted them. I think the asian themed quilt will be perfect for anyone who loves purple and some guy is going to love the fishing themed quilt!

The tumblers are 5" and were cut using the template available in my shop HERE. They went together in a snap.

I hope you had a fun weekend too!
Diane
