Scrap Quilt Secrets Blog Hop Day 2

I am so thrilled and honored to have Bonnie Hunter as the first blog host on my blog hop. I would like to tell you a little bit about Bonnie even though I'm sure all of you know who she is.
Bonnie is the original Queen of Scrap Quilting (that's a sincere compliment, not a joke!) She started publishing books on scraps quilting a long time ago. I was so thrilled when I bought her book Adventures with Leaders and Enders. I made 7 quilts from that one book. I'm not kidding. Go here to see some of them from 2012. I have all of her books and I highly recommend each one of them. I've also taken a workshop with Bonnie and enjoyed every minute of it. When I became program chair of my local guild, I immediately booked her for a return visit. That kind of sums up how I feel about her.

While we both love scrap quilts, I do think that my approach in this book is quite different from hers, and my quilts are quite different as well. I must say, that her inspiration and enthusiasm for scrap quilts definitely inspired me. I can credit her with my immediate love of working with scraps and my enduring passion for all things scrappy!

Now go visit Bonnie's blog  to enter to win a copy of my book and see what she has to say.

  1. Congratulations on your new book. It looks like it has a lot of beautiful quilts, and you are right, they are different than Bonnie's quilts. I hope it is a top seller!

  4. You and Bonnie live in the same scrappy neighborhood. Love her designs, books and energy and I'll be anxious to get me hands on your book to check it out. What's not to love about a scrap quilt!
    Congrats on being published.
