For the Love of France
It's so hard to believe that just one week ago I was packing my bags to go to France and now I'm already back home. While it was a whirlwind trip, there are far too many photos to share, stories to tell and moments to remember for one blog post.
I'm going to have to break this up into several installments to completely document this amazing week. Honestly, I'm still absorbing the experiences and trying to believe how so many wonderous things could happen in such a short time.
I can tell you what happened at home while I was gone. The kids took great care of themselves and the animals, but the washing machine did not get run once. Neither did the dishwasher. The mail did get collected once or twice and the deliveries on the porch were dragged into the front hall. I appears as though the veggie garden got watered or rained on enough for survival. Time will tell on that one. And none of the fur babies seem to have suffered too much, though Boomer has already taken up residence on my foot while I sit at my desk. LOL
And truly, I'm a little bit ruined. After a week of good French coffee, unbelievably delicious food and gorgeous surroundings, it's a bit of let down to drink home brewed coffee and look out the window and such ordinary sights. Nothing breath taking here at all. It is home, so there's comfort in that.
I'll be back tomorrow with the first installment of my Grand French Adventure!
Diane

Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you came back home safety and found children and animals in good health ! Ah the washing machine was on holidays too... :))))
ReplyDeleteBig hugs from France Diane.....
I have such awesome memories of my Paris/French trip last fall.....good French coffee is not one of those memories! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun to hear your stories.
ReplyDeleteNothing better than home Diane...though it seems ordinary. For me my home was in Paris and I thought it was ordinary... As a child I was wondering why tourists were coming to Paris... there was no sea, no beach!!
ReplyDeleteFlat Belly Overnight Review
ReplyDeleteWhen you mount the dreaded scale and witness a wide difference between the previous and current weight, the emotional euphoria is indescribable. While some feel motivated to strive for more, others just drop off the regime, finding the weight loss 'enough for now'. But what you forget is that the weight you lost might not be from fat at all; instead you might have lost your body weight. Reducing weight via decrease in bone density and loss in muscular tissues instead of fat is unhealthy especially in the long term.

European quality far exceeds much of what we have here in the States. They take the time to savour everything they do... it seems here in America we are always rushing to get nowhere? I've never traveled to Europe... but, it is on my bucket list... looking forward to hearing of your experiences there! :-)
ReplyDeleteOk, clearly I missed something...what took you to France? And wasn't it amazing? Seeing the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre was just surreal to me. Glad you had a great time!
ReplyDeletehappy that you loved your French trip!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any clothing suggestions to pack for Paris?
