Tiny Stitches Retreat Review

Last summer, I was invited to teach at the Tiny Stitches Quilt Retreat which was held last week at the beautiful Brasstown Valley Resort. During that first planning meeting for the retreat, I landed a job working in the shop!

After much planning and hours of preparation, the weekend finally arrived! The main project for the weekend was the FUSION quilt from my book Scrap Quilt Secrets. However, we sprinkled in lots of mini projects as well.

We made these journal covers. I love how creative and unique each of them turned out!

We made name tag holders with zip pockets in the back for carrying room keys, credit cards, etc.

I gave a special edition version of my trunk shows. I knew that many folks attending had seen one or more of my trunk shows, so I included some special quilts and variety so everyone would get to see something new.

We ended the retreat with a little American Flag Tumbler kit that included pattern, template, and fabrics for making the flag along with wool for the star. You can find the patterns and templates to the shop!

My room mate Melinda and I slept well under some quilts from the trunk show!

We were super busy for three days and enjoyed every minute of it! I would like to thank the staff that were so helpful, and everyone at the resort who was wonderful to us. I am especially grateful to all the attendees for the overwhelming amount of sweet comments and generous praise they gave me. I put my heart into my quilts and it's so gratifying when they are received with such love.

I will admit that I did take a 3 hour nap the moment I arrived home. I'll be in recovery this week, but should be back to normal soon!

    1. Same weekend next year and you can sign up at the shop. I think sign ups are open today and it fills fast, so I would give them a call quick! You will love it!
