It was brought to my attention in the past week or so that a quilt block I designed is being used to share love through quilting. You can read the whole story about it at the Montreal Modern Quilt Guild HERE.
I'll be honest, this brought tears to my eyes. I can't begin to explain how my heart felt when I realized a little block I shared two years ago, just for the fun of sharing it, has been embraced by a group of quilters for such a loving cause. And I've immensely enjoyed all of the photos posted on social media containing this block in all it's variations.
Sometimes quilting is SO MUCH BIGGER than the fabric, the stitches, and even the quilters. It can be so much more than we ever imagined. And for that, my heart is so thankful.
My all our stitches show love and compassion, in small and large ways, and in ways we never could have predicted.

That's so sweet! Quilting is so much more than what we see on the surface.
ReplyDeleteQuilters are the most generous and caring people. I personally don't think there is a better gift of caring!
