Graduation 2017

As of today, I no longer have any children in high school. My babies graduated with honors from high school this afternoon. I'm so proud of them I could pop, but I'm also so sad that this amazing stage in life is over.

They worked so hard and accomplished so much in high school. After home schooling them in middle school, I thought it would kill me to send them off to high school all day long. I survived (and this whole quilt business is the result!) Watching them try new things and accomplish goals was so much fun.

Now, as they embark on the next phase of their education, it feels surreal to me. I know that Danny is going to love Virginia Tech and David is going to have a blast at UGA. They know how to work hard and succeed, so I don't fear the academics nearly as much as I fear how much I will miss them!

These boys are my heart and soul. They make me laugh every day and they are best friends. I worry about them being apart for the first time in their lives. They have assured me that they have texting and skype. They are confident they will be fine. Once again, they are teaching me life lessons. I am so thankful that they are mine.

Congratulations Class of 2017, best wishes for an amazing future!

Love, Mom

  6. Congrats to the grads. My girl twins went off to different universities and missed each other terribly. They would study together via the phone or watch tv via the phone. Their first phone bills were a whopper. There are better plans now days so that's a positive because they still do that
