I had the joy of spending the weekend with these lovely ladies in Brandon, Mississippi this weekend. They were so much fun! We cut and sewed, and pressed and laughed and ate (the most amazing pound cake, thanks to that cutie in the front row, far right!)
And I was thrilled to see this quilt and hear the story of how the quilt made of houses (from Edyta Sitar) got combined with houses from my book Scrap Quilt Secrets and ended up being this beautiful creation. There's absolutely nothing better for me than to see elements of my designs incorporated into original creations! While I love seeing quilts made from my book and patterns, seeing them used as inspiration for totally new creations really thrills me! And I love these colors! Yummy.
I would have preferred not to drive home through a monsoon, but it was worth it to share a couple of fun filled days with these delightful quilters. Thanks for making me feel so welcome!
Enjoy every stitch!
