Social Media (or in my case...Socially Awkward Media!) is such a great way for quilters to connect. It only requires a few simple skills (some of which I apparently lack) and a willingness to share (which I have!)
Those of you that are on Facebook most likely got a notification from the Butterfly Threads Quilting group. I set it up a couple of year ago and I've been sharing my blog posts there on a regular basis, as well as on my personal Facebook page.
My friend Lori over at Humble Quilts (hi Lori!) mentioned the number of folks that had joined her Humble Quilts group. That got me curious. So I checked to see how many folks were in the Butterfly Threads Quilting Group. Imagine my surprise when I saw that 2131 friends were patiently waiting for me to click on the "add" button. I can only guess that some of you had been waiting for years.
I am officially begging your forgiveness at my unbelievably poor social media skills. I have since clicked the "add" button for each of you that were on the list. Which is why some of you may be wondering why this random timing? Because I am just now figuring it out. I'm so sorry! I feel like such a ding a ling.
So thank you for your patience, thank you for hanging around and being my friend even when I don't deserve it. I am so glad you are all still here, and I am going to be sharing questions and info as well as photos on the Butterfly Threads Quilting facebook page. Feel free to check it out, and know that I will gladly add you if you want me to (now that I know how!) I would love for you to share your quilting adventures, questions and accomplishments with us as well.
I'm also still sharing lots of fun photos over on Instagram. So please feel free to follow me there as well. If you want to get my attention, tag me in either Instagram or Facebook so I can be sure to see it.
