Show and Tell from Strip Quilt Secrets

Turquoise Twist from Strip Quilt Secrets by Tanya

I just love Tanya's choice of bright turquoise for the strips in her twist quilt. And her bright happy colors really sparkle. Now that I've seen hers, I really want to make one in this color option as well!

Lime Twist  from Strip Quilt Secrets by Deborah

This version of Lime Twist is gorgeous with all of these Asian prints and a dramatic black strip in the center of the blocks. It's such a gorgeous quilt and has a whole different feel from the bright playful version above.

Echo from Strip Quilt Secrets in plaid by Lori

This amazing version of Echo by Lori is perfection! I absolutely love her plaids and homespuns in this setting. Her scrappy red centers just add that final touch of awesome. I only wish I had made mine in these fabrics!

Under the Mistletoe by Jean

This pattern isn't in the book, but it's the most requested workshop that I teach. You can find the pattern here. I have seen this made in almost every combination of fabrics imaginable and I think I love them all!

Under the Mistletoe by Judy

The sweet soft pink background on this version is so lovely. I really like how calm the grays and the pink are even with all of the busy piecing. It just creates the perfect back drop for her scraps, don't you think?

And two table runners side by side. They couldn't be more different but look how great! The soft colors on the left are so sweet while the bright colors and high contrast on the right are so exciting. I may be biased, but I think this is one of those patterns you just can't go wrong with.

I would love to see your show and tell of any of my patterns or book projects. Please email them to me at butterflythreadsquilting @ gmail.com. I would love to share your projects, even if they aren't complete, works in progress are fun too!

Enjoy every stitch,
Diane

  2. I gave the Turquoise Twist away to a teacher friend going through cancer treatments, but I want to make another one to keep for myself---let's do a quilt along for it!

  3. Fun show and tell. It's amazing how different the colors and fabrics can change the same pattern.

  4. Isn't it amazing how the same pattern can look so different with the simple change of color. Love them all!
