Merci Beaucoup Quiltmania

Last September I had the privilege of hosting Anna Karina (and Carol Veillon via video chat) in my home. Anna Karina interviewed me as well as photographing my home.

She did an amazing job of photojournalism in spite of all of the restrictions in place due to Covid.

We had a wonderful chat and lots of laughs and some good eats and drink as well. I am honored to know her!

If you are unable to get a copy of this beautiful magazine, I have be given an extra copy by Quiltmania to offer her as a give away! Simply comment with your favorite place to put a quilt in your home and I will draw a winner March 1st.

Un grand merci a mes amis de Quiltmania!

Diane

  1. Diane, your home looks beautiful....and you look amazing, too! I have several favorite places to display quilts in my home: rolled in large baskets, on ladders, on wall unit shelves, and of course layered on the table or folded at the end of the beds over a neutral duvet!

  2. Sounds like you made a new friend with a lot of wonderful things in common! It's such a great thing that we have beautiful quilts and our passion for sewing during these long Covid days. I'd love to win your extra copy!

  3. I hang my quilts on a wall rack next to my bed. I wake up each morning looking at a quilt that I've made or my mother (now deceased) or friends have made. These quilts make me want to get up and sew some more!
    Congratulations on your Quiltmania article!

  5. Congratulations! What fun to have a magazine layout of your beautiful home and quilts! I love to hang quilts all over my home. I have a small quilt on the wall as you walk in and a quilt rack in the corner of the room. They are often on the couch as someone always takes one off the rack and curls up with it on the couch.

  6. Gosh, it looks like a fabulous article. Congratulations!
My favorite place to put a quilt in our home is on top of me, taking a nap! Next favorite is on the back of our couch, and after that, on the beds.
Thanks for offering a copy of the magazine.

  11. Besides over chairs and sofas where people can just grab and use for a very special quilt that I spent a lot of time on or it's just my favorite. I would like to hang it on the wall in our small DINING AREA. We use the side door more than anything so that special quilt will be the first thing they see and comment on. quiltyladyrr at gmail dot com in case I am still a non-responder

  12. How wonderful to be part of such a fabulous magazine! Like many quilters, I have quilts all over the house -- on quilt racks, on tables, hanging on the walls, stacked on shelving units, on the backs of sofas, and on and on. I especially enjoy table runners. I often change them for the seasons or because I had some technique or fabric I wanted to play with and a runner is a great project for experimenting.

  13. How wonderful to be featured in an article in Quiltmania! There are quilts displayed in nearly every room around here, though my current favorite place is on the back of an older rocking chair in one corner of the dining room where we can see it every day. Thank for offering the copy of this magazine.

  19. What a perfect extension to your daily Quarantine Quilt Show! I'm so happy you had the honor to appear in Quiltmania and share your love of quilts! Haha - I'm so unoriginal - my favorite quilt display locations are the quilt hanging shelves at home and at the camp, made by my Dear Hubby!

  20. Lucky you to be featured in Quiltmania. The only full size quilt in my house is on my bed, but there are table toppers and wall hangings all around. Most of my completed quilts are lap size and have been given away. Thanks for the opportunity to win the magazine.

  25. I love seeing special quilts on our beds. Made by me, or my grandmother, or, in the case of our summer quilt, a beautiful grandmother’s flower garden made by an anonymous (to us) friend of my husband’s grandmother. All are so special!
