Daisy Talk: the colors

SHOP OWNERS: Order Daisy Talk Fabric Line HERE.

When asked to design my first fabric line, I couldn't decide what I was most excited about! But I know I started with a color palette. I love all of the colors of the rainbow, so I started there. I chose my favorite shades of pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. I knew I would include a soft white as well but my main 'neutral' would be a medium grey. Grey has a way of helping the rainbow colors both stand out and blend together.

As a quilter, I also knew that I needed a good strong stripe fabric that would include all of the colors. Why is this necessary? For bindings of course! But this stripe is also small enough scale (1/4 inch) to play really well in the patchwork, as a sashing, an inner border or even pieced into other designs.

Free Block of the Month Program available to shops who purchase the line.
See how perfect that stripe is for binding?

Once I had this color palette that made me ridiculously happy, I was able to start doodling my other designs. Stay tuned for my thoughts on those soon!
