Off to Oregon!
We are flying to Portland tomorrow on the first leg of our scenic journey to the 50th Anniversary Sisters Quilt Show! I have never been to the show or to Oregon, so I’m super excited about the whole trip!
We will rent an RV in Portland and head for the coast. We plan to see all the sights along the coast, do some hiking, and exploring lots of the sights along the way. We will then head inland to see Crater Lake National Park and enjoy all of the nature and waterfalls along the way. We will arrive in Sisters the night before the show, catch our breath, and make sure we rest up, so that we have no chance of missing any of the quilts and quilting friends. We plan to drive up to the Columbia River Gorge, find more waterfalls and camp on the river before we fly home from Portland.
This trip will be a whirlwind in only 8 days, but we planned it before we knew for sure that Chris would be retired by now. We know we will be back to the Pacific Northwest in our own camper before too long, so this trip is going to be a quick little sample of things come!
If you are going to be at the quilt show and you see me, PLEASE say HI! I want to hug all of you!
Enjoy every stitch! Diane
